fitted into a space
no larger than a suitcase,
but made up of the twists and
turns left by others filling their
place in the scheme of things.
contorted, twisted, spread far
too wide, thin, far.
crushed, bent, compressed far
too small, constrained, restricted.

now is my time
to stretch
to bend
to smile
and find my own space away from here.
