I read a thought the other day on mindful emailing. It talked about how, in our fast paced world, we spend little time or attention in writing emails. The idea of the thought was that we should spend more time reading our important emails and focusing on what we are saying…as we would a hand written letter.
I think the opposite is true as well. I think we need to spend more time actually reading the emails as though they were hand written letters. Of course, I am the sort to write mindfully, but so many times the message is skimmed and the meaning, the depth, the feeling, is lost.
Are we really in such a hurry to get to our next great thing?
