“Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray.”
Rumi
I have often been told that I am cerebral. I am the ice queen who does not have a heart to follow. I am practical and logical. I make the right decisions, not the ones driven by emotion. I have been rewarded for this and praised.
Rumi knows my heart. Others may feel that it is silent, or try to silence it, but he reminds me to listen, to follow, and to rejoice in being led astray. He knows that following my heart has never steered me wrong the way that practicality and logic have. True, my heart may break, or ache, or grieve, but there is also joy, passion, and love that I would not have any other way.
